If you’re looking for a new place to get your chill on, Firepot Nomadic Teas has got your back. The Nashville-based tea company will start pouring cups at its first brick-and-mortar location next year.
Firepot Nomadic Teas just announced plans to open Firepot Tea Bar in the 12South area of Nashville in summer 2017.
Led by founder Sarah Scarborough, the new tea bar will “feature high quality, direct-sourced teas carefully curated by the Nashville native and tea connoisseur,” according to a press release.
“I am excited to bring something I’m passionate about to the Nashville community,” Scarborough said in a statement. “Teaching people about tea is something that gives me a lot of joy and I’m looking forward to sharing my knowledge and experiences with our customers. One of our goals at Firepot is to make high grade tea accessible and approachable, and this tea bar will help us welcome a new audience.”
The new tea shop will be located next to SloCo sandwich shop at 2905 12th Ave. S. Expect a seasonal menu with traditional teas, made-to-order hand-crafted artisinal tea drinks and teas on tap.
Scarborough has traveled the world searching for the ingredients and focuses on high-quality teas and supports organic and ethical trade practices. A portion of its sales are donated to the empowerment of women and preservation of wildlife in tea origins, according to a press release.
“The quality of product will be held to a very high standard, and we want to offer our patrons only the best,” Scarborough said in a statement. “Firepot has always focused on providing teas that are well-sourced from communities that support ethical trading practices.”
Loose leaf teas, matcha, chai and curated tea pots and tea ware will also be for sale at the new tea shop. Firepot plans to work with local creative Handy Dandy Productions to develop and construct the tea bar’s aesthetic.
You can catch a preview of the concept this weekend at Porter Flea Holiday Market.
