URBAN COWBOY PUBLIC HOUSE

Urban Cowboy Public House is set to open this fall behind the hip, funky Urban Cowboy bed-and-breakfast at 103 North 16th St. in East Nashville. Urban Cowboy Public house will feature a 2,000-square-foot indoor bar and restaurant as well as a large, 3,000-square-foot outdoor patio.

SLIM AND HUSKY’S PIZZA

Pizza and beer. We’re already sold. Fast-casual pizza restaurant Slim & Husky’s will offer a build your own pizza experience along Buchanan Street in Salemtown as well as craft beer from Nashville breweries. Look for custom made windows and doors from Kidd Epps Art Shop once the restaurant opens.

Fat Bottom Brewery

FAT BOTTOM BREWERY

Fat Bottom Brewery is getting ready to double its size from its former East Nashville location to 33,000 square feet once it calls 800 44th Ave. N. home. Expect a spacious beer garden, brewpub, taproom and restaurant called the “The Hop Yard” once they settle into their new digs in The Nations. Read more

NICKY’S COAL FIRED

Nicky’s will bring coal-fired pizzas, house-made pastas, charcuterie and antipasto dishes to The Nations this fall in the Stocking 51 development. Look for a spacious patio and a rustic interior once Nicky’s Coal Fired opens its doors inside the renovated Belle Meade Hosiery Mill building in West Nashville.

KUNG FU SALOON

An arcade saloon? We’re so down for this idea. Look out for Kung Fu Saloon to bust open its doors this fall in Midtown.

EIO & THE HIVE

EiO & THE HIVE, a restaurant, market and community gathering space, is slated to open this fall on the border of The Nations and Sylvan Park at 5304 Charlotte Ave. (across from Bobbie’s Dairy Dip and Bajo Sexto Taco Lounge). The space was formerly home to Lucky Corner Discount & Smoke Shop. According to the restaurant’s website, EiO, which stands for “everything is organic,” will focus on healthy food “that was created by someone instead of something.”

R&BQ

Details are scarce about a new bar concept coming to East Nashville’s Five Points area, but work on “R&BQ” is currently being done to a building at 1102 Forrest Avenue on the East Side. Eater Nashville reports the cryptic name will be two different bar concepts.

HENRIETTA RED

Strategic Hospitality (the peeps behind Pinewood Social, Catbird Seat and more) will be bringing a new oyster bar and restaurant focused on seasonal cooking to Germantown this winter. Eater Nashville reports that Chef Julia Sullivan and Allie Poindexter have partnered with Strategic Hospitality to open Henrietta Red in the historic neighborhood.

VINYL TAP

Wax and drafts are coming to East Nashville. Co-owner Todd Hedrick is opening draft house/lounge/record store Vinyl Tap at the corner of Greenwood and Porter in East Nashville. Look for a “living room vibe, where customers can settle in to enjoy music, beer and friends,” according to Vinyl Tap.

THE MOCKINGBIRD

After the success of Chauhan Ale & Masala House as well as Mantra Artisan Ales, Celebrity Chef Maneet Chauhan is set to open two new concepts in Nashville. The first concept, The Mockingbird, will be a modern diner concept “featuring comfort foods creatively executed with a unique global spin,” according to The Mockingbird’s website. (Look out for the adult milkshakes.) Read more

TANSUO

Morph Hospitality Group, the team behind Chauhan Ale & Masala House, is bringing a new Asian-inspired restaurant to Nashville called Tànsuŏ, according to Morph Hospitality Group. “Meaning ‘to explore’ in Cantonese, Tànsuŏ will serve as an exploration of contemporary Chinese cuisine reminiscent of China’s night markets and traditional street fare,” according to Tànsuŏ’s website. Originally slated to open this summer, Manhattan’s Lower East Side cocktail bar Attaboy now plans to open this fall in East Nashville. The bar will be located at 8 McFerrin Ave. behind retail shop Two Son. According to a release, patrons can expect outdoor seating and no reservations at the East Nashville speakeasy. And based on the rendering, there won’t be any flashing neon signs to guide you inside, hence the whole speakeasy thing.

Nations

NATIONS BAR & GRILL

The building next to that really cool and really retro “The Nations” sign in West Nashville’s The Nations neighborhood is set to get even more retro. Eater Nashville reports Christy Thurman, co-owner of Fifty First Kitchen, is putting a “retro diner meets bar and grill” concept at 705 51st Ave. N., which used to be an auto repair shop. The Nations Bar & Grill would be open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. all week long with an all-day lunch, dinner and late night menu once it plans to open late summer, according to Eater Nashville. The building’s sweet looking artwork was created by Nashville artist Troy Duff.
