Janet Weiss leaves the American cult band Sleater-Kinney. The musician was the band’s drummer for 24 years.
Weiss says in a message on Twitter that she has made her decision after a lot of thought: “The band is going in a different direction and for me it is time to move on.”

Band doesn’t have a new drummer yet
Weiss can also be heard on the new rock band album, which is called The Center won’t hold and will be released on August 16.
The moment of departure is not very favorable for the band, because the band will be touring this coming autumn to bring attention to the new album.
It is not yet known who will accompany the remaining band members Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein.
